DAVID McGoldrick is hoping Saints can silence one of his friends and former team-mates this afternoon.
Dexter Blackstock is likely to line up for the West Londoners against his former employers.
And McGoldrick is looking forward to a reunion with the 22 year-old, a former colleague of his from their youth and reserve team days at St Mary’s.
McGoldrick says Saints will have to “be wary” of Rangers’ 12-goal top-scorer Blackstock – not that they haven’t already been warned.
Blackstock has come back to haunt his former side three times since joining QPR in 2006.
He netted on his first return to St Mary’s in September 2006 and scored a brace in QPR’s 4-1 win against Saints at Loftus Road earlier this season.
