MARK Wotte was left to rue his side’s wastefulness in front of goal, as they could only manage a 0-0 draw with QPR.
Although it was a very poor game, with few chances, Saints had the only real efforts of note.
Jason Euell missed a great early chance when through one-on-one and Andrew Surman mishit a shot with the goal at his mercy.
“I’m disappointed that we didn’t score a goal,” said the Saints head coach.
“I think we had some good chances in the final part of the match.
“I think we have to finish better to take the three points.
“Defensively we did very well today.
“After the changes with Jake Thomson and Bradley Wright-Phillips we were more dangerous up front and more down the sides and it paid off with some good chances.
“But then you have to take your chances and you have to finish it.
“If you don’t finish then you get only one point.
“If you see the chances and I also saw there was one or two handballs in the box I think we deserved to win.”
