BLACKPOOL have signed Burnley midfielder Alan Mahon on-loan for the rest of the season.
The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s crucial match against Saints.
Mahon has not started a game for Burnley this season, having also played for Blackburn, Wigan and Tranmere.
He is Blackpool’s 19th loan signing of the season.
Burnley boss Owen Coyle said: “Alan is someone I have so much time for.
“I hold him in very high esteem.
“I gave him my word that if something came up I would let him go and play.
“He’s been unfortunate in that Chris McCann is the first pick in his position and I think he knows that.
“He has been a terrific servant for me at this football club and I’ve no doubt he will do his best to keep Blackpool in the Championship.”
