Saints striker David McGoldrick has been given the all clear to resume training after an injury scare.
The 19-year-old, left, who has been on excellent form since Mark Wotte took over and started playing him in behind two strikers, damaged his knee in training last Friday.
McGoldrick sustained the injury in a similarly innocuous way to Simon Gillett, whose season was ended in a freak accident at Staplewood the day before.
McGoldrick was sent home to rest but still reported pain after the weekend and so was dispatched for a scan with fears it could be something serious.
However, those fears were allayed and he now returns to training hoping to prove he is fit enough to face Charlton at St Mary's on Saturday.
Relieved Saints head coach Mark Wotte said: "David is doing well. He's lucky he has only bruised his cartilage."
