MICHAEL SVENSSON has denied a report that he has retired from playing football.
Sky Sports aired a story from a Swedish newspaper which stated that Saints’ long-serving defender, who now has a coaching role at the club, had quit playing. But Svensson says: “I would love to carry on playing and I’m keeping my options open.
I’m concentrating on the preparation for Sunday’s game.”
Svensson says he has a doctor’s visit lined up once the season ends and will make a decision after that.
