SAINTS captain Kelvin Davis admitted he felt like “blowing his top” after the last day defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Despite relegation already being assured, the 32-year-old keeper was still furious Saints lost a game they should have won.
His emotions were exacerbated by the end of a long and frustrating season.
“It’s a situation where you feel like blowing your top after the game,” he said.
“But you know that the fight was over and it wouldn’t have done anyone any good to start pointing the finger.
“I’m disappointed, because we really wanted to finish on a high.
“In terms of individual performances I don’t think anyone had a bad game.”
