Organisers of the Daily Echo Hampshire Open have had to make last-minute changes to cope with the influx of players.
A record 522 darts players will toe the oche at Southampton's Novotel next Saturday to battle for the prestigious title and the £1,000 winner's cheque.
The competition will now feature 32 boards in order to find a winner by the end of the day and the hotel has found extra room to cope with demand.

Hampshire County Darts Organisation spokesman Frank Brascombe said: "It's seem's as though we have created a monster - but it is a good monster!
"It really is one of the biggest and best one-day opens in the country and we really appreciate all the extra trouble staff at the Novotel have gone to."
Players of all ages and abilities - from pub and club darters to super league, county and even several players used to taking part in prestigious televised competitions."
