SAINTS are bidding to stop Norwich equalling a club record tomorrow.
And Iain Dowie, who was part of Saints’ most famous win at Carrow Road, has backed them to do it.
Norwich are on a superb run of form, which has catapulted them to the top of the division.
Paul Lambert’s men have won their last 11 League One matches at home, which is just one shy of their all-time record set almost 60 years ago.
That was set over the course of two seasons, from March to September 1952.
But Dowie, who helped Saints to an astonishing 5-4 win at Carrow Road in April 1994, doesn’t think Alan Pardew’s side will let Norwich match that record.
“They’re on a great run, but I’ve got a funny feeling this is going to be a tight game,” he said. “I fancy Saints to get a draw.”
