ALAN Pardew believes Saints must win their next two games to keep their faint playoff hopes alive.
Saints host Walsall tomorrow, before free-scoring Huddersfield visit St Mary’s on Tuesday.
Pardew’s team are 19 points behind sixth place, with 16 games left in their season, which leaves practically no room for error.
But the manager doesn’t want to look any further than the next two matches, which he believes must return six points.
“We need to win the next two to sort of even give our spirit a good feeling, to our fans and to ourselves, so they’re very, very important games and let’s focus on them,” he said.
