DEAN Hammond is refusing to rule out the playoffs, despite Saints’ disappointing draw at Wycombe on Tuesday.
The 0-0 stalemate sucked out much of the momentum that had been gained in the 2-0 victory at Norwich.
But Hammond believes Saints can still make up a daunting 19-point gap between themselves and the top six – starting with a win against Walsall tomorrow.
“In the dressing room we’ve got ambitious players and we all want to do the best we can,” he said.
“And the best we can is to try and win every game.
“The next game is against Walsall, so we’ll try and win that.
“But we want to try and make the playoffs.
“We can do it, it’s still possible, so that’s what we’ll try and do.”
