SAINTS had a remarkable 200,000 phone calls in one day as the clamour for Wembley tickets continued.
After season ticket holders had their turn to purchase up to two seats each for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final with Carlisle on March 28, it is now the turn of those who went to the area final against MK Dons.
Saints received an astonishing 200,000 calls during their opening hours yesterday.
The total sales mark has reached 30,000 out of the 44,000 allocation.
Saints apologised to fans that have been unable to get through straightaway but insist they are doing all they can to meet every request.
The club said:“We have witnessed an astonishing call level for tickets, with many supporters having to queue for a lot longer than normal, and naturally we do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“We recognise the huge volume of calls have affected the ability of our fans to get connected, despite opening up significant additional queuing facilities.
“However, our hard working staff are endeavouring to deal with all the calls as quickly as possible, and we do thank our supporters in advance for their patience at this very busy time, so please be patient, and together we can march on to Wembley.”
