A realigned course made all the difference to this year's Itchen Imperial Regatta held on the River Itchen between Crosshouse and the entrance to Ocean Village.
With 64 races packed into a tight programme, spectators were treated to six-and-a-half hours of thrills and spills.
BTC seniors, minus Wayne Harrison, were no match for Ryde's Ben Ade, Mark Jenner, Nick Pike, Matt Allsop (stk) and Penny Glazzard (cox) who never looked threatened on a short course.
Their two-length win brought the championship points level after four races.
Another short course at Poole Park this week gives BTC coach Bob Douglas something to think about.

Ryde also won the Junior Senior final with D Squibb, B Churchill, M Evans and S Crocker (cox), taking advantage of absent Southsea with a three length win over Itchen.
BTC's Junior Four of Wilson, T Taylor, P Taylor, Bradberry (stk) and C Hume (cox) pipped Itchen Imperial for their second successive win.
Lymington's R Maltby, A Hall, L Oliver, L Roberts (stk) and Laura Viner (cox) won the Novice Fours.
Their Senior Pair claimed a three lengths win over Christchurch after beating Southampton in the heat.
Coalporters A Maunder, D Lawrence, M Dunn, J Hayes (stk) and P Glazzard (cox) gained their first point in the Ladies' Senior Fours.
Christchurch's K Lockyer, E Lack, J Lyons, Z Bond (stk) and M Bailey (cox) lead their overall series after winning the Ladies Junior Four event.
Poole's Marie Frampton won a tremendous contest with Kerry Wardell in the WJ16 Scull by a foot.
