The summer arrived at Thruxton giving the British Touring Car Championship glorious weather to entertain another bumper crowd.
James Kaye (Isle of Wight) and Rob Collard (Hook) were both in action.
Kaye qualified his Honda Civic Type R for race one in 12th while Collard, in the Team RAC MG ZS, was seventh.
Collard ended qualifying with an engine fire, giving his team plenty of work overnight to make sure he started race one.
He made the grid and finished fifth while Kaye climbed to seventh.
Collard claimed a podium finish in race two, finishing third.
With the lottery style of grid line up, race three saw Kaye start from pole after again finishing seventh.
Kaye finished fourth with Collard sixth.
Team Halfords driver Neal, the reigning champion, has now opened up a 33-point lead in the Drivers championship over Team RAC's Turkington as the title chase now heads to the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire on 16 July Other locals of note were Salisbury's Ross Curnow who, in the Formula BMW Championship, finished ninth and seventh.
Mark Cole (Newbury) made a return to Thruxton in the Porsche Carrera Cup.
Having worked as an instructor at the circuit for many years, Cole suffered a technical infringement and was demoted on the grid before a puncture in race one.
That meant he started race two at the rear of the grid, though he recovered to finish fourth.
The next racing at Thruxton is the Dunlop Festival on August 5/6.
