SOUTHAMPTON SAC. A roving shore competition provided moderate sport with junior Luke Phillips winning the pool for the day's heaviest fish a 4lb 9oz smoothhound.
John Brown won the event with four fish measuring 253cm followed by Mick Nicholson (three fish for 194cm), Paul Jones (174) and Ron Lock (161).
The junior section was won by Luke Phillips with one fish measuring 80cm. Lee Shons (23cm) was second.
HAMBLE SAC. A large boat competition out of Langston onboard Predator' produced plenty of action with smoothhound, ballan wrasse, black bream, dogfish, poor cod and pouting all figuring.
Tony Spridgeon won with 16 fish worth 110 points, including an 18lb specimen smoothhound.
Rob Shattock came second with 20 fish (102 pts) followed by Colin Searles (74), Neil Powdrill (68), Doug Rowe (46) and Keith Coleman (42).
FORD SPORTS SAC. West Bexington was the setting for the club's latest shore competition where Jon Marshall won with 11lb 15.5oz. Included in his catch was a 7lb 6.5oz blonde ray, the night's heaviest fish. Peter Oates was second with 8lb 13.25oz followed by Mark Ramsey (4lb 14oz) and Steve Wickes-Eales (3lb 13.5oz).
LYMINGTON & DISTRICT SFC. A good variety of species were recorded during the latest shallow boat competition which included ballan wrasse, black bream, dogfish, smoothhound, bass, pouting and cuckoo wrasse.
The day's best specimen was a 2lb 14.5oz ballan wrasse caught by Malcolm Stote. Richard Rickman won with 31lb11oz followed by Malcolm Stote (30lb 9.5oz), Steven Rickman (18lb 15.5oz), Glyn Gates (17lb 5.5oz) and Dean Lancaster (16lb 7.5oz).
CHRISTCHURCH SHORE FC. Geoff Bailey won a shore competition at the White House section at Milford after beaching a 2lb 8oz bass.
Runner-up, with a brace of doggies weighing 1lb 14.5oz, was Dennis Holton. John Dunster (14oz dogfish) was third.
