SAINTS legend Lawrie McMenemy will rejoin the club for a second time if Michael Wilde wins the EGM.
One of the most popular and well-respected names in the club's entire history will sit on the club's football board if Rupert Lowe loses the shareholders vote.
"I have been asked that if there was a change of leadership, would I join the football board," McMenemy said last night.
"My attitude is, I definitely think there has to be a change from the present regime. They cannot argue that they have not had every chance in nine years.
"If people feel I could help out, I will say yes'. I suppose I could be a link between the supporters and the new owners because most of them would be unknown to us.
McMenemy's name in Saints folklore is massive after he led the club to what remains their greatest day the 1976 FA Cup final win.
