Two gymnasts from Waterside Gymnastics Club are off to Los Angeles in July to compete for Great Britain.
They will take part in the Association of National Aerobics Championships Worldwide ninth international youth aerobic championship and world junior aerobic showcase.
It is the first time Britain has entered gymnasts in the championships.
Noadswood School pupil Bethany Martin, 13, who has been in the GB aerobic gymnastics squad for three years and Vicky Crocker, 16, who lives in Bath but trains at the Waterside club every weekend will be accompanied by their coach Roxanne Stephens.
Both girls represented Britain in Slovakia and Lithuania last year and France this year and Martin has also been invited by UEG (Union Europeenne de Gymnastique) to compete for Britain and take part in a one-week training course in at Cesanatico, Italy next month.
Waterside Gymnastics Club is a registered charity and, with British Gymnastics unable to offer funding, the girls need to raise about £1,500 each and a similar sum for their coach. The club can provide a small amount but the girls are busy raising funds however they can.
Anyone who can help can phone the club secretary on 023 8084 3646.
