GAVYN Davies' endorsement of Michael Wilde's brave new world for Saints should force Rupert Lowe's supporters to change sides.
That's the view of Saints PLC board member Keith Wiseman with just a week to go before the crucial EGM to decide Lowe's future.
Wiseman is one of three rebel' directors on the PLC board who have sold shares to Wilde this year Paul Thompson and Brian Hunt are the others.
And last Friday's Daily Echo exclusive that multi-millionaire and lifelong Saints fan Gavyn Davies was backing Wilde was the clearest indication yet to Wiseman that Lowe must go if the club are to improve financially.
"Even a significant possibility of investment is a considerable advance on the position over the last decade," said Wiseman, a director since 1987. "It is so important an issue that it should persuade a number of people who have hitherto supported the chairman to change sides.
"They have always insisted that they would do so if there was a real prospect of such investment.
"The fact that the cheque is not actually on the table yet does not alter the fact that there is a far greater prospect of new investment than there has been for many years."
