SAINTS will not move away supporters to a different part of St Mary’s next season, the Daily Echo can reveal.
The club was hoping to turn its Northam stand into a Kop-style end, filled with some 6,000 home supporters.
To do that, they needed to move visiting fans to a different part of the stadium.
However, after talks with Hampshire Police, it has been decided the away supporters will remain where they are.
Supt Rick Burrows said: “Where they are currently for us was the best tactical option.
“I understand the club have supported that now and don’t intend to move the away fans, so they will stay where they are.”
