Clive Woodward has vowed to stay on at Saints as technical director.
The man who was brought to Saints by former chairman Rupert Lowe a year after leading England to the 2003 World Cup has had his title changed from director of football to technical director.
But Woodward has denied speculation that he is set to resign as a result.
When contacted by the Daily Echo yesterday, he responded to Lowe's dramatic resignation by pledging his future to Saints.
He said: "Business is business, what has happened has gone on above me and is not for me to comment on but I am not leaving Southampton FC."
