SAINTS will receive an unexpected cash windfall after former defender Jelle van Damme joined Wolves.
The Premier League side have signed the left-back from Anderlecht for a fee believed to be about 3m euros.
Saints are understood to be owed between 10 and 15 per cent of the money, due to a sell-on clause inserted by former chairman Rupert Lowe following van Damme’s departure from St Mary’s in 2005.
That means they are expected to receive somewhere around £300,000 as a result of the 26-year-old’s transfer.
