SOUTHAMPTON netball star Geva Mentor helped England round off a topsy-turvy Commonwealth Games campaign on a high by claiming bronze on the last day of action in Delhi.
Mentor faced a tough battle to get herself motivated for their last shot at a medal having suffered an agonising 51-45 defeat against old enemies Australia in the semi-finals.
But Mentor made sure there was no hangover from the Aussie defeat as England cruised to a relatively comfortable 70-47 win against Jamaica to take bronze.
And after making sure they arrive back in England with a medal to declare Mentor paid tribute to the side's fighting qualities in lifting themselves following their semi-final heartache.
"The bronze-medal play-off was a fantastic match and it feels great to have won a bronze medal," said Mentor.
