SAINTS will bid to maintain their recent ‘fortress St Mary’s’ record against a Shrewsbury side likely to field a makeshift defence this weekend.
Nigel Adkins’ in-form side stormed into the League One play-off zone for the first time since relegation after battering lowly Dagenham & Redbridge 4-0 on Tuesday.
Saints have now netted 10 goals in winning their last four league outings at St Mary’s – after tasting success just once in their first seven home league and cup outings this season!
They will start Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie against the lower division Shrews as red hot favourites to bank the £18,000 winners’ cheque.
