Former Saints coach Wally Downes has been appointed West Ham's defence coach.
The 49-year-old was sacked by Saints along with Alan Pardew in August but will have his first session with the Hammers tomorrow.
Downes, who has spent the last fortnight as an adviser to Gillingham, said: βIt's an honour to be asked to help out such a good club. I'll do my best to help lift them out of the relegation area.β
