THIRTY-four years after Saints’ FA Cup winning boss Lawrie McMenemy first wrote to the FA asking why managers were not awarded FA Cup medals like the players, he’s been presented with one.
McMenemy, pictured at his home in Braishfield, near Romsey, now has a memento of that famous day at Wembley in 1976 when Saints upset favourites Manchester United to win the Cup.
And other FA Cup final managers have one as well.
