THE January transfer window passed with the main excitement at Saints surrounding a youngster who DIDN’T leave the club.
All the speculation surrounding 17-year-old winger Alex Chamberlain eventually proved without foundation as he remained at St Mary’s.
Instead, the only winger who left was Jason Puncheon who joined Premiership club Blackpool on loan.
Nigel Adkins reacted to his departure by bringing in his former Scunthorpe winger Jonathan Forte.
In all, Adkins brought in two new players during the month – Forte and another wideman, Leicester City loanee Dany N’Guessan.
Apart from Puncheon, midfielder Paul Wotton left Saints last month to join Yeovil Town permanently while Joseph Mills yesterday extended his loan at Championship club Doncaster while forgotten goalkeeper Tommy Forecast joined Conference club Eastbourne Borough on loan.
So what do you think of Saints dealings in January?
