The Championship’s most sought after striker will be on show at Ashton Gate this afternoon – and remarkably it’s NOT Rickie Lambert.
Just the 14 goals already this season and an all-round game that has played a massive part in lifting his team out of League One and to the top of the Championship table has apparently not been enough to make Lambert a fashionable transfer target.
Not that Saints fans will complain about that.
Instead, the spotlight continues to shine on Bristol City’s Nicky Maynard.
