Kelvin Davis is set to take his place in the Saints history books on Saturday by notching 250 appearances for the club.
The 36-year-old keeper, who joined from Sunderland in 2006 for £1.25m, will become one of only 28 Saints players to achieved the feat in the post-war era, assuming he starts against Blackpool at St Mary’s.
Davis has also moved up to third place on the highest number of appearances made by Saints keepers post-war.
He is only one behind Tim Flowers – whose record he should equal at Portsmouth – and is only another season away from claiming the top spot himself from Eric Martin who made 289 appearances for the club in the late 60s and early 70s.
