CISS Dyer – an eminent figure in club, district and county bowls – has died. She was 97.
Born and raised in Portsmouth she took up the sport in 1967 with husband Reg at the Folland Aircraft Company where he worked.
The bowls bug gripped them both – and created a lady who not only became a top Hampshire bowler but who served the game as a conscientious administrator for many years.
