FANS groups have urged Saints supporters not travelling to the south coast derby on Sunday to wave off the club’s travelling contingent.
The Saints Trust and SISA have clubbed together to call on people in the city to give the official supporters’ coaches a big send off as the controversial ‘bubble’ leaves Southampton for Fratton Park.
The groups have asked people to look out for the buses leaving St Mary’s, Bursledon and Winchester on Sunday morning.
Perry McMillan, of SISA, said: “It would be great if people in the city could turn out and support their fellow fans who are making the trip to the game.
“If you have got your scarves and flags, get out and wave them, and let’s all be in this together.
“It will be a bit different in Portsmouth, but at this end let’s lighten the mood a bit.
“We’re going down there as league leaders and we want to encourage all those people on the coaches to really make some noise for the boys at the game.”
