Nigel Adkins faces a midfield derby day selection dilemma.
The Saints boss must decide what to do with the right side of his midfield.
That area has become something of a headache for Adkins since the injury to Richard Chaplow, who was in such great form before hurting his knee.
Chaplow is making rapid progress towards a return, but this weekend’s match may come just a little too soon.
If Chaplow is still out then Adkins is most likely to either choose between Morgan Schneiderlin or Steve De Ridder, and consider the formation, with Guly do Prado most likely to remain in attack alongside Rickie Lambert.
You would have assumed De Ridder would be the automatic choice when he signed in the summer, being a right winger.
However, he has struggled to get a regular starting role in the side and has instead generally played a more central position when coming off the bench.
