THE ashes of Saints legend Peter Osgood were buried beneath the penalty spot in front of The Shed at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
Chelsea gave their flamboyant legendary centre-forward, who died earlier this year, a fitting memorial as 2,700 fans joined with a galaxy of former stars, family and friends on the pitch to pay their tribute.
Osgood's 1976 FA Cup final winning manager Lawrie McMenemy was present along with the likes of Wembley skipper Peter Rodrigues, Jim Steele and Brian O'Neil.
