Hampshire Cricket will return to Barbados for a third consecutive pre-season tour.
It will be the fourth time in three years that the Hampshire squad have been out to Barbados having reached the final of the Caribbean T20 competition early in 2011 followed by a highly successful pre-season there for the last two years.
This year, the Ageas Bowl side’s season starts with a home LV= County Championship match against Leicestershire between Wednesday 10 and Saturday April 13.
Furthermore, thanks to the club’s new partnership with WeTravel4sports.co.uk, fans can join the team on their Caribbean travels, taking in a collection of matches against other English counties as part of a dedicated one-day Twenty20 competition as well as a range of inclusive and optional extras.
Hampshire manager, Giles White said; “Barbados has been a huge part of our preparations for the last few seasons and has contributed massively to the team’s success in the domestic Twenty20 and 40-over competitions. Being able to enjoy conditions similar to that of the English summer as early as March gives us the best possible preparation for the season and will hopefully help us to hit the ground running."
The tour departs on Sunday, March 10, and returns two weeks later on Friday, March 22.
