FORMER Hampshire all-rounder Glenn Maxwell flopped again as Sri Lanka levelled the one-day series with Australia with an eight-wicket success in Adelaide yesterday.
Maxwell scored just eight – after making five in Friday’s victory over the same opponents – as Australia were dismissed for 170 in Adelaide.
Lahiru Thirimanne completed his first international century with the winning shot as Sri Lanka romped to victory.
Captain George Bailey – Hampshire’s main overseas player in 2013 – batted at No 3 but was out for 26.
Ex-Ageas Bowl batsman Phil Hughes, who made a century on his ODI debut last Friday, was out for just three.
