Glenn Maxwell celebrated his call-up to Australia's Test squad with a stunning second ODI fifty for Australia.
Within 24 hours of his inclusion in the 17-man squad for the forthcoming tour of India, Maxwell blasted an unbeaten 51 from only 35 balls as Australia beat West Indies by nine wickets in Perth.
Opening the batting after the Windies had been dismissed for just 70, Maxwell hit nine fours and two sixes, as Australia took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
Only last season Maxwell was playing for South Wilts CC before starring for Hampshire. Now he is on course for a place in Australia's Ashes squad.
