Hampshire manager Paul Terry believes that Chris Tremlett is NOT ready to be called up by England.
Steve Harmison and James Anderson have both been below par on the current Ashes tour but Terry does not think England should recall Tremlett, who is based at the England Academy in Perth.
Perth-based Terry believes the fact Tremlett has not played for nearly three months means he is not ready to make his Test debut while the Ashes are up for grabs.
He said: "Chris is going to need more cricket behind him to justify getting selected.
"He was injured towards the back end of last season and hasn't played any competitive cricket for some time.
"His main focus is to play regularly without getting injured - he would be the first to say that and I'm sure Harmison will bowl better in Adelaide.
"There were signs that his rhythm was returning in Brisbane and when he's back to his best he will be a difficult customer again."
