Former Hampshire batsman Simon Katich's sensational double-century put Lancashire in control on the third day of their top-of-the-table LV= County Championship Division Two clash against Northamptonshire.
Katich's outstanding knock of 200 off 322 balls included 26 fours and one six as Lancashire were eventually bowled out for 442, giving them a first-innings lead 132 with David Willey taking five wickets for 108 runs.
Simon Kerrigan then took three wickets as the hosts closed on 123 for four, still nine runs behind, to set up a fascinating final day at Wantage Road.
