Former Hampshire coach Jimmy Cook has returned to county cricket with Glamorgan.
Glamorgan have appointed the former Somerset and South Africa batsman on a short-term coaching contract.
The 59-year-old, who coached Hampshire from 2000-2002 and was a prolific runscorer both in county cricket and for his native Transvaal, will assist Glamorgan's head of elite performance Matthew Mott.
The county's cricket consultant Brian Rose - himself an ex-Somerset batsman, captain and coach - said: "I am delighted that Glamorgan have brought Jimmy over.
"His playing and coaching experience will undoubtedly be of significant benefit to both Glamorgan and Welsh cricket."
