HAMPSHIRE Cricket legend Robin Smith will see at first hand tomorrow whether Monty Panesar deserves a call-up for the third Ashes Test in Perth.
Smith is one of three former England Test stars who will play alongside Panesar in a England Invitational XI against a Chairman's XI at Lilac Hill.
Ex-England captain Alec Stewart will captain the line-up while Adam Hollioake also plays.
The Chairman's XI side includes Australian opener Justin Langer and Hampshire's ex-Zimbabwe Test player Sean Ervine.
