Glenn Maxwell has given Hampshire fans another mouthwatering taste of what to expect during the T20 Blast.
For the second time in five days, the Australian superstar smashed 95 from 43 balls for Mohali, taking his total in his three innings so far at this year’s Indian Premier League to 279 from only 131 balls.
He hit five fours and NINE sixes as his franchise amassed 193-6 before securing a 72-run win against Hyderabad.
Mohali are the early IPL leaders and Maxwell has scored more than double the aggregate of his nearest rival at the top of the run charts, JP Duminy (131).
He has battered a total of 28 fours and 17 sixes and his strike rate of 212.97 (runs per 100 balls) is also higher than any IPL player with a minimum of 60 runs to their name.
Maxwell is due to play for Hampshire alongside fellow overseas star Kyle Abbott in the T20 Blast when Mohali’s IPL campaign ends next month.
He will play for Hampshire in all competitions when Abbott is unavailable.
