Hampshire could yet be up against Andrew Flintoff at T20 Blast Finals Day - as well as England duo Jos Buttler and James Anderson.
Flintoff has only played two T20 games for Lancashire since coming out of retirement and has been unavailable due to a calf injury for more than a month.
But he has proved himself fit enough to be in Lancashire’s 17-man squad for Saturday’s semi-final against Hampshire at Edgbaston.
“He has found his fitness late, so he will be coming to Edgbaston with us,” Lancashire's Glen Chapple told the Manchester Evening News.
“His injury was always going to be touch and go for finals day, and that was the worry.
“Now he is about right, albeit he hasn’t played much cricket."
Lancashire have also been boosted by the return to fitness of former Hampshire bowler Kabir Ali as well as the availability of Anderson and Buttler.
