Shane Warne believes the Hampshire Hawks need to win five of their last six FP Trophy South Conference games to qualify for the semi-finals.
The Hawks have to finish in the top two of their ten-team group to make the last four.
After yesterday's eight-wicket win they are fourth, two points behind leaders Kent with a game in hand.
The Surrey Lions, who have played a game less, are the only undefeated team in the section.
Warne said: "We've been trying to work out how many wins we'll need to finish in the top two and we think that seven wins and two losses will probably see us finish somewhere near the top.
"Six wins and three losses might mean it comes down to run rate, but there's no hidden formula - everyone has to play each other so we've just got to keep winning."
