IT'S three wins out of three for the Hampshire Academy, who are off to their best start yet in the ECB Southern Electric Premier League.
They produced a hugely impressive performance, outplaying and Bashley (Rydal), last season's runners-up, and beating them by 92 runs on the Rose Bowl Nursery Ground.
Teenagers James Vince and Hamza Riazuddin led the way as the Young Hawks piled up 286-9 before left-arm spinner Chris Morgan produced a league-best spell of 6-46 to send Bashley packing for 194.
"It was a fantastic, professional performance by a side that had three GCSE stream pupils in and nine teenagers in all," praised Hampshire Second XI coach Giles White, who skippered the Academy side.
"They paced the innings well throughout the afternoon session and, when we came to bowl, the performances of the left-arm spinners was exceptional."
Beaten for a second consecutive week, Bashley have yet to match last season's impressive form.
"We were very disappointing all round," skipper Andy Sexton admitted. "We've got a lot of work to do."
Bashley's new ball attack allowed Kevin Latouf (24) and Liam Dawson (19), the only two young professionals in the Hawks side, too much freedom, but both batsmen perished at a stage when they looked capable of a significant contribution.
Their respective departures left the Academy 59-2, but set the stage for three youngsters to underline their potential.
Poole Grammar School's Richard Armstrong (37) emerged from a scratchy start to work some polished shots of his legs.
But it was the Wiltshire-based Vince and Riazuddin, together at 143-4, who set the Academy up for their big score.
Vince, whose unbeaten 115 as a 14-year old against Portsmouth last season made him the youngest centurion ever in an ECB Premier League match, oozed class.
He drove crisply through the V, striking eight boundaries in a knock that belied his tender years, while Riazuddin relished the opportunity of a late onslaught and, with Chris Wood playing a highly effective support role, put the Academy out of sight at 286-9.
Bashley made a positive start to their run chase and were scoring at five runs an over against the new ball.
Roy Cockram broke through, bowling Dorset's Glyn Treagus at 45, but Neil Thurgood and Poole Grammar's Chris Jones kept the rate ticking along.
When Thurgood was undone by an arm-ball from West of England Under-15 starlet Danny Briggs and Morgan, taking full advantage of the worn, turning surface, got one to turn sharply and bowl Andy Sexton, the outcome was fairly inevitable.
Jones, the Somerset Academy prospect, used his technique well, but Morgan was making hay and cutting significant inroads into the Bashley middle-order.
He eventually teased Jones (55) into trying to hit over the top and not long after had Andy Neal (23) caught as well.
The Havant left-armer went on to produce figures of 6-46 - his best in the Premier League - a spell which could act as a timely reminder to England YC selectors.
"It was great to see Morgs back amongst the wickets," said a delighted Giles White.
"He's not had many opportunities to bowl so far this season, but he turned the ball appreciably in what was a high class bowling performance."
With Briggs going on to finish with 2-18 off seven overs, Bashley gradually slipped to 194 all out and a significant defeat.
