Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove admits that Rose Bowl security will be extra vigilant for the county's next three Twenty20 Cup games.
The Hampshire Hawks had windows of their team coach smashed during the Twenty20 Cup defeat at Southgate on Monday.
The Middlesex Crusaders players also had valuables stolen from the home dressing room.
Bransgrove said: "I don't know the full extent of the vandalism but it sounds as though questions have to be asked about the security.
"We're always trying to make the Rose Bowl as safe as possible.
"Fortunately we've had no such incidences but we always keep a careful watch on how we steward the Rose Bowl".
Hampshire are expecting another capacity crowd for tonight's must-win match against the Sussex Sharks (7.30pm).
And big attendances are also predicted for two more Rose Bowl matches against Middlesex on Friday (7.30pm) and the Essex Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
Bransgrove added: "It does look as though the Twenty20 Cup is attracting a different audience to the game.
"And we're aware that we may have to be more vigilant because I've heard of circumstances at other grounds where our players have had to put up with coarse behaviour".
