CHRIS Tremlett has made a surprise return to the England fold after being selected for the Twenty20 World Cup 30-man squad. His inclusion completed a Hampshire hat-trick after the expected picks of Dimitri Mascarenhas and Kevin Pietersen.

The final 15 will be named from the squad of 30 by August 11 and is expected to include Somerset opener Marcus Trescothick, back in an England squad for the first time since November.

Also named are Twenty20 specialists Darren Maddy and Luke Wright, while Essex opener Mark Pettini is also in.
