Chris Tremlett recorded his best Test figures today - but could not stop India winning by seven wickets at Trent Bridge.
Tremlett took 3-12 from 7.1 overs as India slipped from 47-0 to 62-3 before reaching the target of 73 this afternoon.
The Southampton-born Hampshire seamer had Wasim Jaffer (22) caught at gully by Kevin Pietersen via a top edge and Dinesh Karthik (22) edged to wicketkeeper Matt Prior before more short deliveries resulted in Sachin Tendulkar (1) being caught at short-leg by Alastair Cook.
Rahul Dravid (11*) and Sourav Ganguly (2*)ensured a 1-0 lead in the series for India but after two Test appearances, Tremlett now has ten wickets at just 19.60.
