Michael Lumb reckons he and Sean Ervine are a perfect match.
The two left-handers put on 147 together as the Hampshire Hawks bounced back from successive Pro40 defeats to beat the Warwickshire Bears by eight wickets and with 10.4 overs to spare.
Lumb hit a 73-ball 82 and Ervine an unbeaten 80 (77) balls as the Hawks romped to the 197 target to go third in the Pro40 first division - two points behind top-of-the-table Worcestershire Royals, who have played a game more.
Lumb said: "Slug and I are both positive stroke players who play good cricket shots and stay in our zones. We complement each other well.
"If I don't score well off one over he will and vice versa. We're striking the ball really well at the moment."
