Hampshire captain Dimitri Mascarenhas's Indian Premier League involvement has been brought forward.
Mascarenhas captains Hampshire in the LV County Championship opener against Sussex at the Rose Bowl tomorrow but will now be away from April 27 - May 12 instead of May 12-26.
The change of dates means the all rounder will now miss the Championship match against Somerset at Taunton from May 7-10 and the Friends Provident Trophy group games against Somerset and Gloucestershire at the Rose Bowl as well as the clash against Worcestershire at New Road.
But he was due to miss five FP Trophy games before the late change to his schedule with the Rajasthan Royals, the IPL's Jaipur franchise, was agreed yesterday.
Mascarenhas said: "The length I'm away for is fair for both parties because I miss less cricket for Hampshire and play more for Jaipur during those dates."
Meanwhile, Hampshire have given Greg Lamb the chance to fill Shane Warne's shoes at the Rose Bowl this week.
Off-spinner Lamb will bat at number eight and be Hampshire's senior spinner against Chris Adams's Sussex.
Hampshire: Brown, Carberry, Adams, Crawley, Lumb, Pothas, Mascarenhas, Lamb, Tremlett, Bond Tomlinson
