Hursley Park swing bowler Tom Burns and Cadnam's Nick Dunning celebrated seven-wicket Hampshire League, County Division 1 hauls but Burns was the only match winner of the pair.
His spell of 7-42 set up a five-wicket victory for table-topping Hursley over South Wilts, but Dunning's day was tinged when Cadnam fell to a third successive defeat against St Cross Symondians.
The seven-wicket return by Burns enabled Hursley Park to maintain a four-point lead over St Cross at the top of CD1.
His figures played a major part in South Wilts being dismissed for 192 a target Hursley polished off through Chris McDermott (73) and Nick Best's 59 not out.
Helping Cadnam defend a meagre 92, Dunning produced a career-best 7-42, which accounted for all seven St Cross wickets to fall.
But he was unable to prevent the Winchester side celebrating a three-wicket victory.
Village Cup county finalists Bramshaw pulled off arguably the top result of the day, beating Waterlooville (142-9) by four wickets, courtesy of an Adam Ridgeway half-century.
With the sun on their backs at long last, it was the batsmen who called the tune on only the second full day of a rain-ravaged start to the season.
Champions Eastleigh & Otterbourne piled up 349-3 against Flamingo John Ham hitting 138 in a double-century opening stand and Locks Heath scored 283-4 in the derby with Sarisbury Athletic.
Australian Greg Lambeth hit 108 not out and was one of four separate County Division 1 centurians.
Another Aussie, Lester Betreen, cracked 110 in Portchester's 86-run win at Redlynch & Hale.
Andy Parratt hit 100 as Fawley chased Fareham & Crofton's 241-8 to win by three wickets.
