Bashley (Rydal) had time to put their feet up and savior England's World Cup win over Paraguay after skittling Portsmouth for a dismal 117 at St Helen's, Southsea.
Portsmouth, whose much vaunted batting line up failed against BAT Sports a week earlier, never recovered after losing Sam Lavery and Seth Simmons in the opening overs.
Three of their top five made starts, but Matt King (4-54) and Kevin Nash (3-9) invariably held the upper hand.
They lurched to 29-4 before Michael Barnes (45) and former Hampshire opener Derek Kenway raised the total to 80.
But the lower order simply ebbed away and, after Portsmouth had been polished off for 117 in less than 34 overs, Bashley were able to divert their attentions to Frankfurt.
Not that England's plight worried Western Australian Under-19 captain Drew Porter, a staunch Socceroos supporter.
Porter put a worrying bowling shoulder concern to the back of his mind and hit 52 in an 88-run partnership with Neil Thurgood (39 not out) to guide Bashley to an eight-wicket win.
