Hampshire crashed to a second Twenty20 Cup defeat in three days thanks to a Kent all-rounder known as The Blacksmith.
It means that they have to beat Essex at The Rose Bowl tonight (5.30pm start) to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the Twenty20 quarter-finals for only the second time.
Hampshire lost by 15 runs at Beckenham, an unhappy hunting ground for Paul Terry's side as it was where they lost their second-ever Twenty20 Cup match, by six wickets, three years ago.
But they were well placed, having lost the toss, when they reduced Kent to 37-6 only to see all-rounder Tyron Henderson, who is nicknamed The Blacksmith, steer the home side to an unlikely victory with a brilliant 63 from just 44 balls (four fours and three sixes).
